WEGU Holding GmbH, an established medium-sized company with almost 75 years of history, specializes in plastic and rubber parts. In three production facilities - Kassel, Slovakia and China - WEGU produces technical rubber-metal articles as well as plastic injection-molded articles for the automotive industry.
As part of a transformation process, WEGU is focusing on new engine technologies such as electric and hybrid drives. WEGU is aiming to return to a central purchasing organization - across the three production sites. The goal: uniform product group management and cross-location control of all purchasing processes.
Before the introduction of Tacto, however, Procurement was organized in a highly decentralized manner. The data situation was inconsistent, and evaluations of prices, suppliers or Categories could only be created with considerable effort. A comprehensive strategy was hardly possible as there was a lack of a common, reliable data basis.
