In our exclusive live webinar "PFAS under the REACH Regulation - Current developments and effective preparation for SMEs" with Kendra Benkendorf, Compliance Expert at Tacto and Melinda Behncke, Business Development at Tacto, we explain how you can efficiently integrate these regulations into your supply chain strategy.

REACH concerns the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemical substances in the EU. SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) are substances of very high concern that are subject to strict controls. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a group of over 10,000 chemicals that are increasingly regulated due to their persistence and potential toxicity.

There are currently 22,773 substances registered under REACH, 241 SVHC substances and over 10,000 PFAS substances. The SVHC list is updated every six months, which poses constant challenges for companies. In addition, a PFAS ban is being discussed in the EU, which could have far-reaching consequences for many branches of industry.

Many SMEs are facing the challenge of implementing these complex requirements. If affected companies do not prepare, there is a risk of serious consequences: products could no longer be imported, fines could be imposed for non-compliance with reporting obligations and competitiveness could be weakened by the need to develop alternative suppliers.
