Mobil Elektronik is a family-run company with around 130 employees that specializes in control technology for construction and commercial vehicles and mobile machinery. Before the introduction of Tacto software, 80-90% of purchasing activities were operational, resulting in time wastage and inefficiencies. Negotiations were conducted manually, making it difficult to analyze cost drivers and potential savings. The introduction of Tacto enabled the standardization of negotiation processes and better integration of supplier data.

A central topic of the webinar was index-based price negotiation, a method in which price developments are analyzed using industry-specific indices. This helps companies to understand price changes in raw materials, wages or energy costs and to develop well-founded negotiation strategies. The advantages of index-based negotiation lie in the improved transparency and the time saved in preparation, which was reduced by around 70%.

Successful negotiations were achieved by combining indices and data. One example from the webinar was the negotiation with a sole source supplier in which a requested price increase of 3.5% was reduced to 0% - an annual saving of over EUR 21,000.

Tacto offers SMEs a cloud-based platform for the digitalization of purchasing processes. Functions such as cost modelling, supplier evaluation and compliance support ensure that companies can strengthen their negotiating position and realize potential savings. The webinar showed how companies can not only work more efficiently by digitizing their purchasing processes, but also achieve better negotiation results.
